We know that you want your child to be safe, have fun and gain invaluable life experience from their time travelling with us. These are non-negotiables for us too! As an organisation, it is our priority to inspire the next generation to be responsible travellers and our programs are designed to cover all bases!

While the thought of a traditional Australian schoolies experience is probably (definitely) something to be apprehensive about, Schoolies Reimagined offers programs for those wanting a life changing experience that will definitely be remembered! Along with a highly experienced and qualified team on the ground, our team in Australia are continuously overseeing health and safety, travel requirements, operations and emergency response procedures – your child’s safety is our biggest priority.

After a huge year of school, it’s definitely time to celebrate moving on to a new and exciting stage of life. With an array of destinations, activities and opportunities for growth at the ready, there’s no better way to mark the occasion. Let’s do it!

FAQ’s

Is it safe?

As a leader in our industry, Schoolies Reimagined takes the health and safety of our students extremely seriously. We have comprehensive risk management and crisis response systems and go to great lengths to educate and train our leaders in safety and first aid. Your child will be supervised by at least two highly qualified adult Leaders, who are responsible for team safety and supervision. Did we mention we also have a full-time local management team in all the countries we operate in. Along with Comprehensive travel and medical insurance, DFAT registration, vaccinations and medical advice from your local Travel Doctor all Schoolies Reimagined trips are strictly drug and alcohol free. To complement these efforts, we are partnered with International SOS, one of the world’s leading providers of medical and travel assistance services. All participants travelling with Schoolies Reimagined will have access to International SOS services through Rustic Pathways’ membership. Learn more about International SOS.

Who is looking after my baby?

Fully qualified expert Australian Leaders plus local multilingual guides. Our leaders have eyes in the front, back and sides of their heads and form strong trust bonds with the travellers, meaning not much gets past them. Our in-country full time management team will also be on hand 24/7 plus support from our Australian Head Office.

Will I hear from my child or Schoolies Reimagined during the trip?

Once your child arrives safely at their destination, you will receive a safe arrival email from us within 24 hours. After this email, no news is good news! However, we will let you know once they have all cleared customs on their travels home.

Generally, we suggest that travellers try to unplug from technology and connect with their program experience. Programs vary in remoteness, but most provide the opportunity for your child to email or otherwise contact you. We suggest working out these expectations with your child before the trip starts.

What if my child has existing health issues or allergies?

We are an inclusive company and will go out of our way to make sure every traveller can travel safely and comfortably. We can cater for students with a variety of health conditions and dietary requirements. We work with the individual to make sure any medical conditions are appropriately managed while overseas. All students must complete a comprehensive medical form, participants will not be permitted to travel on any Schoolies Reimagined trip unless all required forms have been received in our Australian office at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the applicant’s trip.

How can my child help pay for their trip?

We like the way you think! Travellers seem to get so much more from the trip if they help fund the trip themself. It’s a sense of independence and ownership not to mention the life skills of budgeting and saving. Travellers can raise all, or part of the cost through part-time work, sponsorship or fundraising events. We’ve put together a useful guide to help them out with fundraising. Please contact us for a copy.

Will it distract students from their studies?

Nope, all our trips are already fully planned all the students need to do is choose a location and click book. They can contact our Schoolies Reimagined team directly if they have any questions. Way easier than trying to fight the crowds and book their own trip on the Gold Coast or Byron.

Do they need vaccinations to be able to travel?

We are travel experts but we aren’t doctors so we can’t give specific medical advice for travellers. We recommend you speak to a Travel Doctor, or your GP, for advice about vaccinations for the specific country your child will be travelling to. Don’t leave this to the last minute as some vaccinations need a timed out double dose before commencing the trip.

Will my child be sharing a room with the opposite sex at all throughout the trip?

Nope. Travellers will be roomed separately for the duration of the Schoolies Reimagined trip.
