Day by Day
Day 1: Welcome to Schoolies Reimagined
This afternoon you will make your way to a central Sydney location where you will meet your Schoolies crew members who will be with you for the duration of Schoolies week. Once the whole crew has arrived we will pack the van and start the road trip down to Jervis Bay (Approximately 2.5 hours). Make sure you keep an eye out the window for some of the 100 pristine beaches.
After arriving and settling into camp you can start relaxing and getting to know your new crew. Your leaders will talk you through an orientation to discuss the week ahead. Get ready for a week to remember!!
Overnight: Cabins, Jervis Bay
Day 2-5: Lend a Helping Hand
Today will be focused on giving back to the local community. Depending on the needs at the time, you will partner with one or more of these organisations for service within the local community. Some of the service projects include rebuilding burnt fences, tree replanting in the National parks, packing food hampers for families who have been displaced by the fires, helping out at a local wildlife refuge or using your teamwork to remove burnt rubble so families can rebuild their homes. Service projects will allow you to get to know locals and learn about issues facing this part of the world. In the afternoons we will get to explore the local area. Waterfalls hikes, ocean caves, surf lessons and a themed party night are just a few things we have up our sleeve. After a big few days it’s time to be rewarded.
Overnight: Cabins or Camping depending on service location, South Coast NSW
Day 6: Beaches, Boards and Culture
Jervis Bay’s famous white-sand beaches and clear turquoise waters are amongst the most beautiful and safest beaches in the world. Offering rich Indigenous culture, resident dolphins, friendly kangaroos and the world’s whitest sand, I promise your group will never want to leave.
Wake up to a much-deserved beach day! Enjoy a swim, play beach cricket or try to spot dolphins. For lunch, you will get to try a famous Husky Meat Pie, then spend the afternoon feeling grounded and connected to our great land when you join an Indigenous cultural tour on Stand-Up Paddleboard. Be guided by an Indigenous local resident as you explore and discover the ecosystems that hold great importance to the Indigenous people of the Jervis Bay area.
Overnight: Cabins, Jervis Bay
Day 7: Snorkel and Celebrate
Head out this morning and see what Jervis Bay is all about. Discover the marine diversity that only Jervis Bay can offer. Experience the thrill of swimming side by side with seals, feef sharks and stingrays in a pristine environment.
This afternoon we are going to celebrate all that you have achieved this year with a sunset lagoon BBQ. Flow along with the lagoon current on your inflatable pineapple, update your TikTok with some sweet sunset moves and laugh the night away with your newest mates.
Overnight: Cabins, Jervis Bay
Day 8: Catch You Later, South Coast!
This morning we will pack up camp for the final time and begin the 2.5hour road trip back to Sydney. But it’s not over just yet!!! What better way to finish off your schoolies week than jumping out of a plane?! Just to finish things off with a bang we are going to add in an optional sky diving stop on the way home. Jump from Australia’s highest altitude of up to 15,000 feet, directly over North Wollongong beach.
Experience the ultimate thrill of freefall at over 200 km/hr for up to an insane 60 seconds, and then float under a parachute for 5-7 minutes soaking up spectacular views of Wollongong and the Southern Sydney beaches. Schoolies stuck near home just doesn’t get any better.
Overnight – Your own Bed ☺
A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles
South Coast Facts
- The Jervis Bay Territory is an internal territory of the Commonwealth of Australia. It was surrendered by the state of New South Wales to the Commonwealth Government in 1915 so that the Australian Capital Territory would have access to the sea.
- The oldest archaeological evidence of Aboriginal occupation in the region includes a site at Burrill Lake (about 30 kilometres south of Jervis Bay) that dates to more than 20,000 years ago.
Good to Know
- The Koori people used the properties of the umbrella bracken fern as an insect repellent.
- Juice from inside the stem of the gymea lily is used to alleviate the pain from bluebottle stings.
Nope, all students from any state (even across the ditch) are welcome on any of our schoolies programs.
You’re an adult now so you can save yourself the embarrassing kiss goodbye from mum in front of your new friends. As long as all forms are finalised before departure we don’t need an official hand over from the rents unless they would like to come and meet your legendary leaders.
No, most students on our programs do not know anyone when they arrive. Some students do choose to travel with one or two friends to share the experience, but most students are coming to meet new people and extend their tribe. By the end of the first day you won’t even realise you left home alone.
Stressless – you won’t really be on your own. Everyone else on the program will be in the same boat as you and you’ll quickly make friends. After our trips, students tell us that the other “strangers” on their program have become life-long BFFs. Think of this as an incredible opportunity to meet new people and have a once-in-a-lifetime experience shared with epic new friends!
Totally! Make sure you let us know your friend's name at the time of booking to ensure we place you in the same group. Sweet as.
Your leaders will be the most down to earth legendary Australians. They eat, breathe and sleep travel! We handpick only the best in the outdoor education, travel and teaching field. These legends are experts in working with young people, are highly trained in wilderness first aid and take safety very seriously while still knowing how to have fun. Some of these troopers have over 30 trips under their belts! You are going to come home saying ‘I hope I’m that cool one day’!
Your Aussie leaders will meet you at the airport and help you get around while on the trip. They’re fun, easy to communicate with and ensure each and every trip runs smoothly and safely. The only thing you will need to worry about is what souvenir you’re going to get for grandma!
Schoolies Reimagined trips include all activities listed in the itinerary (except the few optional Activities), accommodation, transport, service project materials, meals, the most down to earth Aussie and local leaders, safety backup, pre-departure support and Schoolies Reimagined party shirt.
Nope, but we promise you won’t even realise. Our programs are 100% drug and alcohol-free. We receive a lot of feedback that our trips are so jam packed and immersive that you don’t even realise there isn’t alcohol involved. If you’re looking for a ‘party’ trip rather than a once in a lifetime travel opportunity, we respectfully suggest that you look elsewhere.
You will be in a group of 12 - 20ish likeminded school leavers from across Australia.
We’ll give you a comprehensive packing list prior to departure. There shouldn’t be any major purchases needed so you can save up those pennies!
Your legendary leaders will help you organise any extra activities that may be on offer once on the ground. They will let you know at the start of the trip how much they are and when they can be done. However, keep in mind the majority of the activities are included in the price!
